The joke they will actually make themselves

Every crafter has said some version of it: this is cheaper than therapy. It is also, once you count the yarn, demonstrably untrue. That gap is the entire joke.

A note on sizing for surprise gifts

Everything is printed once you order rather than sitting in a warehouse. Printing takes two to five business days, and most orders arrive within seven to fourteen days in total.

For a birthday, order a fortnight out. For Christmas, order by early December — craft season and gifting season are the same weeks, and leaving it to the middle of the month is how people end up printing a photo of the gift instead.
